Good morning all ~ We had a Jenday conure surrendered to us last night. Right now he's at the vet in Roseville with some sort of upper respitory issue, and hopefully today he'll make it down to Holly Street to be seen by Dr. Ferguson. Once he's done there, he's going to need a foster home. I expect that to be possibly as soon as today or tomorrow. Buster is 1-1/2 years old, is reportedly *extremely* tame and snuggly, and was an adored and spoiled bird initially ... but because his humans then failed to maintain that level of attention he has taken to calling when he's left alone. An ideal home would have another bird for him to talk to or someone who is home most of the time. Either way, I'd like someone who can continue to give him hands-on attention so that he stays as tame as he is - well-socialized birds are So Much Easier to find adoptive home for! I know I've been asking for foster homes a lot lately - I truly wish I didn't have to. It's just been raining conures again lately (they're so festively coloured, I know the universe is just trying to make all our homes prettier for the holidays and then help us maintain that festive feeling into the New Year!) If you can take in this little guy, please let me know! Thanks, ~ Ailsa Conure Coordinator Mickaboo Cockatiel Rescue Share your support of Mickaboo! Not just for cockatiels anymore!
