The Adoption Fair is coming up just two weeks from tomorrow - on Sunday, Feb. 25. If you know you can attend, please RSVP to me, as we plan to have "Bird Bios" for each attending bird, sort of like a "place card". If you're not sure, just come if you can!
Obviously, if your bird is sick, or just doesn't seem to be feeling well, he should not come. If your bird does come, you might want to bring some "birdie treats".
No birds will be adopted at the event - this is strictly a "get acquainted" activity - sort of like an old fashioned ice cream social. So if your bird attends the Fair, you will need to take your bird home with you, or need to make arrangements for somebody else to take it home.
Big birds that come out of cages will need a playstand, newspaper, and hand sanitizer for others to use before holding your bird. (we'll have
bottles of hand sanitizer there, but it wouldn't hurt to have extra).

It is always fun and the birds, especially the big birds, always get a lot of attention from attendees. Last year many love matches were made with foster parents and someone else's foster birds! That's right, it's the East Bay Adoption Fair, an event where you are very likely find your "forever home"! It's true, many, many birds find their humans at Adoption Fairs.
Anyhow, we need to get ready for all of you beautiful Mickaboo birds. So tell your foster Mom or Dad to tell us if you'll be there. If you're not sure, that's OK, just tell them to say "maybe".
(Oh, and BTW, tell your humans it's a good chance for them to hang out and socialize with other "bird people".)
The Adoption Fair is on Feb. 25 in San Ramon from 1-4pm. We'd really like you to get there early, around Noon, to get ready for all the people who will want to meet you. But if you can't, that's OK too, just get there when you can!
