Hi Katie,

There are some nice sized cockatiel cages in the storage unit right now. This is besides all the smaller budgie/hospital sized cages that are there. I am also picking up 4 cages in the 22x24 range sometime this weekend. I had planned on taking all of them to a storage place in Los Gatos right away. If you can stop at our house in Redwood City sometime in the next week or so I could bring one or two of these cages home with me. But we are moving in less than 2 weeks and really need you to get them, if you need that size cage.

I could foster Zazu. I am at Dr. Speers like weekly anyway. I have a big conure cage, but I would need to get a few teil cages. I was going to get some on my way to Holly St. Next time I went there, but haven't yet.

Folks, this bird seriously needs our help - but it's going to take your help
for us to be able to do our bit.  Zazu is in need of medical care asap and a
foster home.  This is what her mom posted to an email list this morning:

Does anyone live somewhere in California that would like a Nanday Conure.
My poor Zazu  has picked at the top of her wings so much there are bloody
sores.  She will not come out of her cage anymore.  I really don't know what
to do with her.  She isnt eating much either.  I give her lots of different
foods...both commercial and fruits and veggies.  Also all kinds of different
treats.  She doesn't even eat her sunflower seeds which has always been her
favorite.  I do want someone who will love and care for her, not take her
and sell her.  But I am afraid for her the way she is going here.

I have a new kitten which did try to get her for a couple of weeks, but has
been pretty much leaving her alone now.  I really don't know what to do with
her anymore.  When I stick my hand in to get her out she attacks me.  Which
is not usual.  And she wont take a bath anymore either.  And that was always
a favorite of hers also.

Our ability to take in this bird and give her a new start really depends on
the two big IFs:  IF I can find a way to get her here from Fresno and IF we
have a foster home to take her in.

Please email me if you can help make those IFs into "Can do"s.  If I can't
get help with these two needs, we can't help Zazu.

Thanks,
