I could be a "drop off" point. I'm near in Concord, in the middle of the "triangle" of Hwy 242 and Hwy 4 and Hwy 680. (About 8 minutes away from Martinez Animal Control.) We're still under renovation - but could make some room in our weather-tight shed. Also, I have a couple of brand-new large-bird sized perches I'd be happy to donate. -m
This is a good time also to ask for other items always in short supply for larger birds: 1. Dishes that fit in large cages or can be securely attached to cage bars; 2. Large perches measuring 24", 30", 32", 34", 36", 38", 40", 48" in length. Perches should be hard woods that allow for disinfecting or new large cotton or sisal perches as long as possible.
Airline approved "under seat"
carriers or small cat carriers for medium and large birds without long tails. The carrier needs to be in place for any time the bird has to go to the vet -- and sometimes there isn't much warning.
We are discussing having a "carrier stash"
Claudia would keep some with her, and we need to identify a location in the east bay. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for a deal? Find great prices on flights and hotels with Yahoo! FareChase. http://farechase.yahoo.com/
