I think it would be great if you wrote something up that
we could add to our website, Susan! A lot of people get rid of pets
because of the "danger" to their children, when really they need to teach the
children as well as the birds about boundaries. I think a "firsthand"
testimonial would be a great addition to the website.

raising a baby with a large bird(s) in the house. Mine are nippy towards the
baby, so I've had to work on the baby more than the birds and I have few

Hi! I have been communicating with a family who has a
Hans Macaw and a brand new baby. They do not believe they have done a
good job with the little macaw, because he is nippy, and appears not to have
any boundaries. Initially they wanted to surrender to Mickaboo but now
are willing to work with the bird because they love him desperately (and of
course their baby too). They are in the Marysville,Roseville,Sacto
area. Can anyone recommmend a qualified bird behaviorist, who will not
charge them an arm and a leg? Thanks.
