We weathered the macaw madness and now it seems like the attack of the amazons. I have two, possibly three, amazons pending surrender and only one available foster home.

The good news about amazons is that they are very entertaining, great eaters, and their cages don't require as much space as a macaw. If you have ever wanted to share your home with a green bird with head feathers of yellow, red, lilac, blue, orange, white or a mixture thereof, an amazon might be in your future. We have lots of amazon caretakers who are willing to mentor you through the initial weeks so we don't just throw you to the wolves - er beaks. Please add a little variety to your life with an amazon.
