Hi all ~ I celebrated a little too soon - I got the other three conures all set for foster homes, and this morning I found out that the FTA situation for Poppy did not work out. So she needs a new foster home too. She's agressive towards her current family's Grey and they're worried that the Grey will fight back one day and hurt the conure. From their reports of Poppy's behaviour and personality, she may do better in a home where she's the only bird or in an environment where she can be kept separate from other birds (ie, no flighted birds in the house and room for her to play independently). This isn't an impossible situation - I have a GCC who is a little Napoleon too, and she does fine talking with the other birds, but being kept from interacting with them.
