Folks, this bird seriously needs our help - but it's going to take your help for us to be able to do our bit.  Zazu is in need of medical care asap and a foster home.  This is what her mom posted to an email list this morning:
<br><br><div style="font-weight: bold;">Does anyone live somewhere in California that would like a Nanday
Conure.&nbsp; My poor Zazu&nbsp; has picked at the top of her wings so much there
are bloody sores.&nbsp; She will not come out of her cage anymore.&nbsp; I really
don&#39;t know what to do with her.&nbsp; She isnt eating much either.&nbsp; I give
her lots of different foods...both commercial and fruits and veggies.&nbsp;
Also all kinds of different treats.&nbsp; She doesn&#39;t even eat her sunflower
seeds which has always been her favorite.&nbsp; I do want someone who will
love and care for her, not take her and sell her.&nbsp; But I am afraid for
her the way she is going here. <br><br> </div>
<span style="font-weight: bold;">I have a new kitten which did try to get her for a couple of
weeks, but has been pretty much leaving her alone now.&nbsp; I really don&#39;t
know what to do with her anymore.&nbsp; When I stick my hand in to get her
out she attacks me.&nbsp; Which is not usual.&nbsp; And she wont take a bath
anymore either.&nbsp; And that was always a favorite of hers also.&nbsp;</span> <br><br>Our ability to take in this bird and give her a new start really depends on the two big IFs:&nbsp; IF I can find a way to get her here from Fresno and IF we have a foster home to take her in.
