Subject: Re: [Mickaboo Discuss] Parrot 911 - Blue & Gold macaw spotted in Pacifica
Is there anyone able to go to this area (lower Fairmont, Pacifica) to
try to lure this guy down? Nuts and/or another Macaw in a carrier
might do the trick. This is the bird I went to see about on Friday
(!!!) and he's been out since Thurs. His owner thinks he can release
his birds and that they will return to him willingly. Hawks have
reportedly been chasing this poor bird around pretty constantly. I
have a call out to the humane society to see about how to handle the
owner but this bird needs rescuing quick!
I will drive by today but with my two little boys I won't be able to
do much. Is anyone able to help? The owner was so arrogant he
didn't even have food with him----if we have some nuts it might
help. The bird has *got* to be hungry :(
If you can help or have any suggestions, please let me know asap.
