Ok, it looks like we are back on for Saturday. Thank you for the inquiries, but the canx was not health-related. The Macaw move, the one task that really needed my truck could not be done on Saturday. However, it appears that they will be moving the bird, sans cage, on Friday, and I can pick up the cage Saturday. So... Leave Winters, arrive in San Lorenzo to pick up the cage by 0900; on to Hayward to get the budgies; to SF to 1) get the Alexandrine and 2) to SFACC to get pigeons or doves. Hand off the latter to Susan in Cordelia, and head to or towards Davis and Citrus Heights to hand off the remainder of my passengers. What is the address/e-mail of the cage to be picked up in Concord?

I'm visiting my father in Pacific Grove, and our neighbor Betty found an injured pigeon. Betty is copied on the email above. Are there any local options to help this pigeon? If not, I'll take it to that place in Ohlone on my way home to the Bay Area. By the way, does anybody know the actual name of that pigeon rehab place in Ohlone so I can call and get directions? Betty is calling the pigeon Lucky, because it was Lucky to be found by her and not by a cat or dog. Thanks in advance... Robbie

I'm still hoping to find new foster homes for Pierre and for Dusty, both Dusky conures. They don't have to move into one foster home together - but if someone could take both, that would be fabulous. I really need new foster homes for these two birds asap. Sounds like Saturday is a bust, and Sunday as well. Next week is pretty open, but if we could get the Alexandrine to a temp home that is weekday-friendly, I could do the same trip during the week.

[Mickaboo Action] OTRA UPDATE = Saturday?

I have been sick since Friday, and as there have been two times that I have passed out from coughing, my wife does not want me to drive yet. Somewhat fortuitously, that puts me on a pace for a Saturday run. I am still mostly in bed, but if somebody could make the arrangements, Saturday, I will move the Macaw from San Lorenzo to Pam's; the two budgies from Hayward to Davis; and the Alexandrine from SF to Citrus Heights. Do I have that right? I want to get an early start. I would like to be in Hayward by 0900 at the latest. My Plan would be to go down 680 to 580 to Hayward to San Lorenzo; when I reach SL, I will still have room for two Amazons and Amazon cages, in addition to the Macaw, if something shakes out for two of the three Amazons there to go north. Are they all housed separately? Then up to Pam's, then to SF, then to Davis, then Citrus Heights.

[Mickaboo Action] FOSTER HOMES NEEDED - 3 Amazons

We have a need to quickly move 3 Mickaboo Amazons from a Mickaboo foster home, due to this person's ailing health issues. She is holding off hospitalization until her Amazons are relocated. I am unsure if these birds are bonded, but if the only way to allow them to get to new foster homes is to go individually, then it must be done. Is there anyone with some room to foster an Amazon or two? I will be more than willing to help you every step of the way to understanding Amazon behavior if you need this.
