I am a peach-faced lovebird. I'm an active and happy little bird! I also have a lot of personality packed into a small body, so be prepared for some shrill chirps, a few nips on the finger and a very inquisitive shadow if you adopt me. I have a variety of peeps, cheeps, chirps and squeaks. Once you get to know me better you will learn what many of these sounds mean to me. I'll require more than just seed for dinner. A pelleted diet, supplemented with fresh fruits, vegetables, boiled eggs, cereals, pasta, rice and lentils will keep me healthy and beautifully feathered. I'm known to be very active and playful so it's a good idea to have lots of toys on hand to rotate through the cage to keep me occupied. Safe toys for me might include wood, sisal, leather, acrylic and rawhide toys. Out-of-cage time is a priority for me but please be sure to keep my wings clipped - I don't want to get lost outside in the big wide world! I can be an escape artist so this is a very realistic possibility. Unlike most lovebirds, I am sort of a loner. I only like to be friends with people, not other lovebirds! Looking for some lovin' ? - then adopt me!
