I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

I'm a bit of a mystery girl. The Mickaboo folks don't know too much about where I came from, so I'll keep it a secret for now. I was pretty confused and scared when I got to my current foster home, and just sat around for a few days and tucked my beak and didn't really feel like interacting. My foster mom got worried about me and took me to the vet, and he found that little hernia I have on my abdomen (that must have happened because the food at my former home wasn't so great and once, when I tried to lay an egg, the tissue strained and tore). But he thought it had healed pretty well and that unless it got worse, I didn't really need surgery or anything. Boy, that was a relief! I kind of perked up a little after that. Climbing out of the cage and flying seemed like a real challenge at first, and somehow I always ended up landing on the floor. But then I got the hang of it! And it turned out there were all kinds of fun toys: a big cholla tree that I thought immediately would be fun to chew out from the inside, so I dove in head-first, and my foster mom jokes that some days, all she sees of me is my beautiful long white tail sticking out the top of the trunk. I love chewing things, especially chollas and soft wood. Sometimes I get so excited about it I start banging the toys around! As for food - well, I'll admit, seeds are still my favorite. But I eat rice and greens and veggies too, now, and sometimes you'll even see me crunching a few pellets. I'm sweet and pretty and just need a good home with toys to shred and a little room to fly and someone to keep an eye out that that hernia doesn't get worse. Maybe you could do that for me?
