I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hi, I'm Kabuki, an 18-year old Blue & Gold Macaw lady with lots of personality and a fun-loving nature. Up 'til now I've been lucky enough to live with one family for my entire life, but now because of the bad economy they are losing their home and can't take me with them. I also had a feather cyst on my bum that needed to be removed but the vet says it shouldn't be a recurring problem. I'm now living with my foster mom who I really like and my foster dad who I'm just starting to trust. I'm a bit nervous about men but they say the way to a Macaw's heart is through her stomach and some of my favorite treats are almonds and sunflower seeds. I really enjoy hanging out and being the center of attention, but I'm also happy just being with my family while they read or watch TV. I am quite capable of letting you know if I think you're not spending enough time with me. I absolutely love to dance. My foster mom says I'm the best dancer she has ever seen. And if you sing to me I'll dance and try to sing along with you. I do prefer things to be more quiet and relaxed. I don't like vacuum cleaners and sometimes I hear the Amazon in the other room get too loud so I yell at him to "Stop It!", or scream back at him to prove that I could be louder if I wanted to. Otherwise I'm a pretty quiet girl and prefer to talk. I know my name, and also say "biscuit", "cookie", "come here", "hey baby", "hello", and actually quite a few other words too. So if you're looking to give a beautiful Macaw like me a forever home with lots of love and attention then contact my coordinator and come meet me. I'm sure to dance my way into your heart. Oh, and my foster mom made me my own photo gallery to show off just how beautiful I am. Check me out at http://www.flickr.com/photos/alisasimonoff/sets/72157623633164945/
