I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Hi there, Iím Woobie. I came to Mickaboo with a deep laceration on my wing that my owners couldnít afford to have treated. They actually waited a day or so before even taking me to the vet, so by the time I got treatment I wasnít feeling very good. The reason I got the cut on my wing is because I donít walk too well, and I frequently have to spread my wings for balance. So, do you want to know why I donít walk so well? The story is that I somehow broke my leg when I was with my first owners, and they never bothered to take me in for treatment. My leg healed improperly, almost a V-shape, so that leg ended up shorter than my other leg, plus itís weaker. I also have arthritis due to a poor diet for most of my life, and I donít have any feathers on the back of my neck. Anyway, Iím really glad that Mickaboo came to my rescue. They fixed up my wing, and when I was well enough to go to a foster family, off I went. Only thing is, Iím just so sweet and lovable, that my Mickaboo foster mom adopted me after just a couple of weeks!! So, now I have a forever home that I love and where Iím loved. My mom feeds me great food, and I feel stronger than I have in a long time. I still wobble when I walk, but I donít fall over as much as I used to. And, my mom didnít want to take any chances that I might get my wing caught in a cage again, so my new home has small square spacing instead of long bars. She also got me some great platforms and ramps that make it easy for me to get around my home. I love my new home because I feel great, get lots of love and attention, and nobody picks on me. Iím actually growing new feathers in my neck, so hopefully one day Iíll have a fully feathered neck again!! I have friends too. There are three budgies here and my mom is also fostering a male cockatiel who whistles at me. Boy, I feel like a young girl again!!
