I am a very good guy and a great eater. I don't scream or bite much at all. I'm also chatty and I like to talk into my food dish, to make a louder sound. Sometimes I make sounds that sound like words but my foster mom said she never can understand what I'm saying.

I love to make friends with other sun conures. my foster mom has a few in her permanent flock. I love to beg for their attention. I am happy to sit on my cage all day and hang upside down. I also love to play with my toys, so any home I go to has to be ready to provide me with lots of those!

I love bathing, the more water the better, and then I show off by flapping my wings to dry off and burn off a little energy too! I like to sit on shoulders too, and will happily snuggle into your neck because that's warm.

Hello and hi, said the bird to the sky! My name is Seuss because I came into Mickaboo's care on Dr. Seuss's birthday. I was found hanging out near the flock of wild conures in Sunnyvale, but they're all Mitred Conures, so they weren't keen on letting me join their flock.

I'm now safe in Mickaboo's care and my foster mom says I'm a very sweet bird so far! I'm just like a teenage boy. I flew away from my home and when I was out in the wild, I could not find my way back. Thanks to you, Mickaboo, for taking me in and having a doctor check my health. I lost two of my tail feathers, but the doctor said they will grow back. I took my meds and had a recheck. Now, I'm a beautiful and healthy Sun Conure again.

Update 8-11-08: Seuss has shown himself to be quite an adorable little guy with a very sweet personality. He is more than ready to find a permanent home with someone who can give him the love he deserves!
