Yup, it's me Zack! How are ya? I'm a 17 year old 'normal grey' male cockatiel. My owner of 17 years felt I needed to find a home with people and birds that could spend more time with me. So, here I am! I used to have a friend, but he passed away, so now I'm all alone. I think it might be nice to be in a place where there are other birds of my kind. I'm in pretty good shape for an 'old guy'. I get around quite well, thank you very much! My foster mom took out one of my perches and put in this funny thing called a 'boing'. I'm not really certain what I am supposed to do with it but she seems to think I'll like it. I'll give it a go - even if just to please her. I can tell she's trying really hard to make me feel comfortable here. I miss my former owner, but once we get to know each other here it will be all okay again. You should see all the stuff the lady here tries to feed me! Oh my gosh - it's a true birdie buffet - really! I don't even know what half the stuff is. Each day I get a little braver and nibble at some of the new things in my dish. The long term plan is that my foster mom hopes I'll fit in with the other geriatric birds here and can stay at the assisted living for cockatiels. If it's too much for me then I'll be looking for a place of my own. I'll keep you posted - so please check back again and see how I'm doin'. Bye for now!
