Gracie died this evening from what we think was a tumor. She fought very hard to stay alive, a brave and very spunky little girl. As she slowly lost the use of both legs, she still wanted to fly every day, maybe to remind her and us that she was still a bird. Nothing is tougher than a budgie.

Ok, world, I am ready! I'm not completely sure what I'm ready for, but probably for something fun. I'm a girl budgie in a particularly nice shade of green. I was lost in the world, very very hungry, and flew right into a car. Ooops! Well, I hurt my pretty little nose, but frankly I wasn't going fast enough at that point to really do any damage. So here I am, fully recovered, eating my way back to a nice figure. Ahem! It probably wouldn't be accurate to describe me as tame, but I am curious and, if you have food, I'm at least tolerant of people. I have a very musical voice, although I don't sing exactly. Right now I'm in a room by myself (what does "quarantine" mean, exactly?), but I hear other birds out there and I'm prepared to make their acquaintance. If you would like to take me home to meet your budgies, I would prefer to ride IN the car since my aim isn't very good.
