My name means "jewels" and it's perfect for a beautiful feathered girl like me. I'm Bijoux, a blue-fronted Amazon. I'm sweet and mellow, like to dance to country music, and enjoy peanut butter and salads. I have been rejected from multiple homes because sometimes I scream loudly. Vocally, I am actually very versatile. In addition to expressing myself in my native language, I can mimic the beep of an answering machine, make monkey sounds, and laugh. I say "hello" and generally chatter and sing. One of my favorite phrases is "What are you doing?" I should have yelled that to the person who left me at an animal shelter not long ago. Fortunately, my new family understands that enjoying my entertaining sounds and human speech means accepting those rainforest screams from time to time. Notice: Due to the sometimes difficult nature of amazons, Mickaboo prefers that amazons not be a households' first parrot.
