Neville died this week. He had a very large tumor. Like most little birds, he hid any signs of illness very well. Mercifully, he died quickly and did not seem to be in pain. Winston is missing him, and it is very quiet without his cheerful chatter.

Winston and Neville are now so closely bonded that it would be very difficult to separate them. Like all good friends, they seem to enjoy each other's company more than anyone else, and they chat a lot, groom each other in hard to reach spots, and generally take comfort, each in the other's presence.

Hello everyone. Winston and Neville here, two very distinguished English budgies. We arrived at Mickaboo by way of a large group of various kinds of pet birds that were surrendered to an animal shelter because our person left town suddenly. Very mysterious. We are both perfect gentlemen albeit not as outgoing as some of your American budgies can be. Like most English budgies, we tend to be very mellow, and to observe the world's behavior very calmly. I'm Winston, the blue gentleman budgie and my companion is Neville, the green and yellow budgie. Neville has some very interesting markings on his wing feathers -- sort of a yellow green outline on each feather. Which may be why his pictures always look like he is in motion. While Neville and I are keeping each other company these days and are very good friends, we are not bonded and could be adopted separately to homes that already have budgies. Since budgies are very lonely when they're alone, it would be a kindness to be sure we have friends. So, toodle-oo for now. Hope to be hearing from you again soon.
