I got my name by being a very sporty birdie that was hit by a car. A kind bystander scooped me up and took me to an animal shelter. The shelter folks called Mickaboo (cuz that's what you do if you have a bird that needs rescuing!), and they took me to a vet. Like most budgies, I'm one tough little birdie -- I bounced off the car and then I bounced back to health. Now I'm still pretty jumpy (my foster mom had to take my picture in the cage cuz I'm sure not coming out of here for anybody yet!). But I'm cute as a button (see picture), so it would be worth it for someone to take me home and get me to calm down in a nice home environment. Beep beep! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
