UPDATE 3/11/06: "Despite her introverted nature, Sera loves to play! Her favorite things to destroy are wicker baskets, willow wreaths, and bottlebrush wood. She is so much fun to watch! She'd love to go to a home where she can have another budgie friend and entertain people with her playful antics. Sera is a bird-bird rather then a people-bird. She's not really interested in interacting with people, and when she does she often bites before getting on your hand. I keep working with her, but for the most part she's just not interested. Not even when her favorite treats are involved! Sera means "winged angel", a name I was given because I'm a lovely gentle girl with a sweet, quiet nature. As a good little angel, I probably don't deserve to be turned out into the world, looking for a home. But someone turned me into a shelter and left me to fend for myself. Something or someone hurt me, but I'm much better now. Lucky for me - and the other little budgies whose people left them there - the shelter called Mickaboo to come help us find a real, forever home. I'm green and bright yellow, like a daffodil. I'm also very well-behaved, I eat the good food I'm given, and I get along with other budgies. I love showers, they feel so good on my feathers - and make me look like a flower in spring! If you'd like to invite an angel into your home, I could brighten up your days.
