UPDATE 3/10/06: "They both like to sing, eat a myriad of different foods, love showers, will tentatively step up, and won't bite. They really love chewing up toys like the grape vine and soft wood toys. Both are really eager to be out of the cage when I open the door." Our past is unclear but we are ready for a bright future. We are Nova and Kelly, two bonded male cockatiels (pearl and pied). Before Mickaboo, our last known address was an animal shelter where we were listed as strays but might have been surrendered. We had an infection but medicine is taking care of that. We are both talented singers and accomplished players-with-toys. We will play with anything you give us, especially leather hanging gadgets. We also will eat just about anything including pellets, broccolini, asparagus, pasta, cheerios, dried peas, and Miracle Avian Diet. If all this wasn't enough to fill our day (and provide you with much entertainment), we also love our showers. And that means SHOWERS. No gentle spritzing for us, we want YOUR shower. Kelly in particular will sit with eyes closed and soak up all that water and steam. To top it off, we are doing very well in the "step up" department. We both step up in our cage and are pretty dependable outside the cage, as well. So what more could you ask? All we ask is a forever home with plenty of toys and good food and showers -- and love. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
