I'm Irwin, a cockatiel named for another affable Aussie. I'm definitely a people-bird. Give me a good view and fun toys, and, of course, plenty of your attention, and I'll be happy. Once I know you, I will dash to greet you and step right up. Given the opportunity, I will keep going until I get to your shoulder, my favorite perch. I have my own funny way of "talking" and often address my comments to the leg of a piano bench. (Don't try to understand it, just watch me and giggle!) I can also do the more usual cockatiel whistles and calls. My foster mom is trying to convince me that pellets and veggies are wonderful things, but so far I can't see a reason to switch from my beloved seed. Improving my diet may be a long-term project, but then I'm looking for someone able to make a long-term commitment. Are you ready to bring a bit of Down Under into your life? Crikey! I can't wait to meet you. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
