Hi, I'm Coco and I'm about 10 years old. My face is yellow, my cheeks are orange, and my tail is a gorgeous display of varying shades of grey. I used to live in a small, rather nasty cage with a female 'tiel, but then our human moved and surrendered us both to a shelter. My friend was adopted out, but that family didn't want both of us, so I'm now living with my Mickaboo foster family where I've been given a wonderful new cage with toys and good food! I love to sing and am working on a magnum opus which I call "Variations on a Wolf Whistle." It's a work in progress, but I love to think about it all day and then sing out all the changes near bedtime. I also love to stand on top of my cage, stretch out my wings, and dance to music! I'm not fond of sticks or hands, but I'm happy perching on shoulders or hanging out on the curtain rails above the window. My foster family is teaching me about fresh veggies, daily showers, and how to step up. So far I'm not sure about any of those things actually being good, but my foster Mom keeps assuring me that they are, so for now I'll give her the benefit of the doubt! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
