UPDATE: Roger has been adopted into her forever home. She is now living with another Mickboo budgie (Sydnee) in a beautiful sun room with lots of windows, surrounded by beautiful trees. Roger and Sydnee were fortunate to find the life we wish for all of our birds -- much loved companions in a happy adopted family. Hi. My name is Roger, which requires an explanation. I'm a girl (and I've always been a girl). However, my name has always been Roger and that's the name I answer to. My foster family calls me Roger-girl, which is ok, as long as they don't expect me to answer to it. If you want me to answer (or to do things like ring my bell on request), I need to know you're talking to me. And I think my name is Roger. Not that I'm stubborn or anything. I'm cute, and smart, and friendly, and playful. You know -- I'm a really cool budgie. I was a doted-upon companion to a nice older man who recently passed away. I miss him a lot. Mickaboo is looking for a new home for me where I can become very friendly with a new person. Or even a whole family. I would be happy to become a friend to another budgie, or I can bring a budgie friend with me. I have laid eggs in the past, so it would probably be best if I live with other girl budgies. But I don't care what their names are -- George or Bob or even Sue! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
