Sonny Ami (named after the famous pigeon hero of WW2 Cher Ami) and another gorgeous glossy black, West of England Tumbler were found as strays in a yard in Fairfield (first by the family dog and then lucky for them, by the resident). The finders recognized that these were helpless, domestic pigeons, not able to survive on their own in the wild and they contacted MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue for help. We had been contacted about another stray WOE Tumbler the day before (also found in Fairfield) and so we figured that these three birds were all from the same flock and wanted to foster them together. When Cher and Ami (now named Sonny) were reunited with the single bird Beau, there was a touching reunion between Cher and and his lost mate, Beau. Sonny Ami wasted no time in charming his fellow foster, a young, snow white king pigeon hen named Pineapple, and now they are a bonded (and very striking) pair. They are available for adoption together.
