Love is in the air here at Mickaboo. Lovebird love, that is! My name is Rosa and I?m a beautiful female peachface lovebird that found my way to Mickaboo for very sad reasons. I lost my mate of 12 years a few months ago. He was my whole world because I didn't want to be with humans very much. After he died, I was so sad, I stopped eating and made myself sick! My mom knew how upset I was, but she couldn't take on another lovebird. She did the right thing and called Mickaboo. I went to the doctor and took some medicine, and now I'm doing great! That's not all - the story gets even better. Another peachface lovebird who looks just like me was found on a nice lady's mailbox. She couldn't take on a bird right now and she called Mickaboo too. Rubi moved into our house and after he completed quarantine, we were introduced. He walked over to me, fed me and the rest is history! When he scratches me under the chin, oooh it feels so good! We're both in good health, we're on pellets, we eat our cous-cous/veggie mix, we love to play and chew on branches - what more could you want in an adorable pair of lovebirds? We?re a little scared of humans, but we're learning. Every night we hang out on the sofa with our foster parents. I'm learning to step up and sit on shoulders and I'm trying to teach Rubi to do the same. If you give us a little time, sweet talk us, say sweet nothings in our ears, we may be able to work something out. So please call Mickaboo and tell them you'd like to add a little lovebird love into your life!
