Sprout is currently living with Dusty so we have a picture of the two girls together. They girls can be adopted separately - here is what their foster mom says about them: Dusty ( the blue-grey one) and Sprout (yellow-green) are ready to be adopted now. They are fully weaned on pellets ( and liking it too)! They love to eat chopped veggies including kale, carrots, cabbage, brocoli and squash. They also like to nibble on parlsey hung from the top of their cage. With some encouragement, they will step up on my finger, espcially when they get tired of flying around. Dusty is the mellow one....she takes everything in stride and is good natured. Sprout is a little firecracker! She seems to have a limitless suppy of energy. Dusty keeps her in her place but if she is placed with another budgie, they have to be able to stand up to her. There are the ususal squabbles and I think Dusty would like a moment of peace to herself, sometimes, but Sprout would follow her to the ends of the earth to try to chew her tail (Dusty doesn't let that happen!) Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
