Hello there. My name is Sonny and I am a Sun Conure, and a very handsome one if I do say so myself. I am about 12 years old now and my human mom and I have been together since 2005 when she adopted me from another woman who could no longer take care of me. I don't talk except sometimes I say "Night-Night" as I'm going to bed. But I do love to dance and listen to music. If you ask me "who let the dogs out?" I will bark like a dog three times. Oh and baths....I love taking baths. I will take a bath every day if you let me. I have a special bowl that sits on top my cage and I just dive right in. It's so much fun, I squeal the whole time I'm in the water. I eat Harrisons pellets and find it delicious and sometimes fun to fling in my cage. I also eat pieces of apples, grapes, oranges, hard boiled eggs, and walnuts, all in moderation of course, those are treats. I am trying to learn to like veggies but so far I only eat Sugar Snap Peas. Most times I just turn up my beak at the other vegetables. I am very healthy despite my habit of plucking my feathers. I can be kind of loud some days and mom thinks it's because she works during the day and I am home without any human companionship. We are working on teaching me to use my "inside voice" though. My favorite thing to do is ride around on mom's shoulder or sit on my play gym next to her while she does work on her computer, does the dishes, or anything really. I just like the company. I like cuddling and watching TV in the evenings too. As much as she loves me, my mom says I would be happier with a human who is home more than she is. So she has asked the wonderful people at Mickaboo to help find me a forever home. If you think you might like to adopt me, please email the conure coordinator and tell them you want to meet me.
