UPDATE: Opal has recovered and thrived and grown up into quite the magnificent young bachelor pigeon! He is very feisty and supervises his foster mom's aviary activities closely! Hello! My name is Opal and I was a very sick little baby king pigeon who was trying to be very brave but really was struggling to survive even though I had been lucky enough to get to SFACC. I needed special care and was taken into MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue with another really sick little baby king pigeon named Georgie. We were both very sick and very frail and everybody was worried about us but we responded great to treatment and all the TLC our foster mom gave us (we're spoiled!) and now we are healthy and strong and ready for a forever home (because you know there are going to be new sick little ones that need this special foster home any minute now).
