Hi, I'm Darius! I came to Mickaboo with Cyrus, but once we got to our foster home, he started picking on me. It's OK though, I'm doing just fine on my own, thank you very much. My foster mom has me on a great diet of pellets and veggies. Sometimes I get a little bit of seed and millet, but only as a treat. I like this health food kick so much I'm even chowing down on yummy wheat grass. I won't tell much about my background, but I probably didn't get much interaction since I'm shy of hands and am not very cuddly. I am learning this tricky thing called "step up" on a stick. With some patience, I might come out of my shell (get it? shell? (oh I crack myself up!). Even though Cyrus picked on me, I am interested in the other birds here. They have been teaching me some lovely songs that I would love to sing to you! I would do best in a home with a patient human, and maybe another bird or two, but they should live in their own cage. I'm a bit of a solitary man, know what I mean? I also don't like dogs too much, so none of those please. Think you might be the perfect match for me? Give my coordinator a call and ask for Darius! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
