To get the best pearl, you must be patient. Like a lustrous pearl,I am a gift of beauty for the patient person. I am a pearl cockatiel female named Freedom. Mickaboo freed me from a shelter where I had been rescued from who-knows-what. I am sweet but shy, sometimes reluctant to come from my cage, but happy once I'm coaxed out. I do step up but maybe not on the first--or second--try. I may pretend to bite but it's a painless bluff. I'm happy to sit on a shoulder or on a perch near people. My foster mom is exercising her patience waiting for me to eat greens. I did try a nibble the other day, so her patience and persistence may soon be rewarded. She is also persistent in offering pellets but I'm not exactly wolfing them down, yet. One thing I do love is a good shower. My gorgeous feathers are getting more beautiful, soft and pearly by the day. I am the perfect companion for someone who will appreciate may soft beauty and quiet ways. Freedom's just another name for---a feathered friend you can choose! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
