Jenny is a lovely, smart, sweet bird that has recovered (mostly) from a terrible act of cruelty. When he (?) was just a fledgling, a little too young to be out of the nest on his own, Jenny flew by some young boys who knocked him down to the ground and began kicking at him. An adult intervened and took the poor baby pigeon away and neighbors took the bird in to care for until finding MickaCoo. Because this baby pigeon was a feral, MickaCoo advised that it be taken to WildCare where it could be rehabbed and released back to its wild life but, upon meeting this bird, it was determined that Jenny was blind (perhaps from a head injury suffered from the boys' mistreatment). Jenny will never be releasable but he can live a very happy and fulfilled life as a pet. Jenny has thrived and grown up into a young adult bird and, I am thrilled to report, is being adopted (along with his roommate Ava) by the kind women who cared for him when he was first rescued. Yay for Jenny! Print this page |
