Hi, everyone! I am a healthy little male cockatiel, and my name is Forrest. I had quite an adventure before landing in a wonderful Mickaboo foster home. My friends and I were found in a car (another cockatiel, 2 budgies and 2 amazons). We were running away from home, but none of us could reach the pedals, so we are thankful that someone came and helped us find a place where we are safe and can continue to look for a home with people who love us. I have a cute little ‘under bite’ since my upper beak is shorter than my lower, but that hasn’t affected my appetite! I love all kinds of foods, pellets, and seeds (carrots are one of my favorites). I am missing a few feathers on the side of my head and my wing, so I don’t fly too well. But it is worth all the preening from my friend, Jenny. Even though I am a little bald guy with an under bite, everyone loves me, because I am a great listener! If you’ve got something on your mind, just stop by my cage for a chat. I will come to the side of the cage and listen with intensity and even offer some advice while reassuring you that, “I love you.” Just to cheer you up, I will whistle – it is my absolute favorite thing to do! I am a sweetheart and promise I will be a loyal and happy little companion if you adopt me. Hope to meet you soon :) Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
