10-27-11 - Here is the latest about Kato from his foster home: Kato doesn't step up unless he wants out (it's a rule now.can't come out til he steps up..hes learning). Will lower his head for scratches...loves those...his terms. Very chatty...sings popeye, opera and something I can't understand. He says "come in" if someone knocks. Says "here kitty kitty kitty" he rings and answers himself and "what are you doing" & "hiiiiiii", he LOVES long hair down...brings out the flirt. Too funny. When my hair is down he always steps up. Silly boy. Loves walking around on the couch. He would probably give kisses if I had the nerve to let him that close to my face..baby steps. Doesn't seem to have any aversion to men...just needs consistancy. ______________ Kato is a 20 year old yellow naped amazon who says "hi", "what are you doing?" and "ok". He has a car alarm he uses when he gets excited. Kato doesn't like to be touched but takes food gently from his foster mom's hand. He likes to sing too.
