UPDATE: 4/5/12: Rocky has been adopted by the Folsom City Zoo and Sanctuary! My name is Rocky and I'm a very handsome blue and gold macaw. My history is a bit of mystery. All that is really known is that I spent most of my life outdoors or in the garage. I was with my last family for 3 years, but they could no longer take care of me. So they me gave me to the Marin Humane Society. While I was there I became famous! A local news station featured me in story about birds needing homes. If you saw a big and beautiful blue and yellow bird on your TV, that was me!! . Beside being a TV star, I'm a pretty laid back, happy go-lucky guy and I love to show off my beautiful wings. I'm also quite fearless and like to explore new areas. I'm friendly with most people and dogs, but I don't like cats in my backyard. Since I lived outdoors for so long, I'm having trouble remembering to use my indoor voice. I can be very noisy but I am getting better. So if you think I might find a place in your heart and home, please contact my coordinator to see I might be a perfect fit. UPDATE: Rocky is getting better with using his indoor voice, but he can still be very loud. Rocky would make a great companion to someone who could spend lots of time with him.
