Hello, my name is Dieter (pronounced Deeter) and I was a working pigeon in a Psych Lab for 5 years! I proved that me and my fellow pigeons could count! Fortunately for us, when the testing was over and we were going to be euthanized (some retirement!), a compassionate Animal Care Attendant contacted MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue and their volunteers came and picked us up and took care of all our intake stuff and then placed us in a BIG, BEAUTIFUL aviary where we are currently living in foster care until a real, true forever HOME can be found for us. I've got a mate now and Lucy and I can only be adopted together. We're small and gentle and tame but we don't want to live in any more small cages! We've had enough of that.
