Hello, my name is Melody and I was found wandering around the streets of SF as a baby king pigeon. I was only 4 weeks old and I was lucky to survive long enough out there to get to the animal shelter. I was sick and so needed extra help and a MickaCoo volunteer helped me get into special foster care. I did well for the first week and steadily improved and then I got worse, developing PMV symptoms. I've been slowly but surely recovering and, while I still have some head-twisting and can't be in the aviary with other birds yet, I am strong and self-feeding and I've become very friendly with my human.
