8/1/11 UPDATE: Lucy has remarried and now Dieter is her mate. 4/30/11 UPDATE: Tragically, Tony escaped from his foster aviary and was last seen flying high and far. Lost bird notices have gone unanswered. His mate Lucy and MickaCoo misses him. *** Lucy & Tony are two of ten homing pigeons that were originally owned by a wedding release business before being sold to Cal State Hayward for use in their Psych Dept's Animal Behavior Lab where they proved they had the ability to count! Despite their proven intelligence, they were kept in very small cages for over five years until the lab closed down and they were surrendered to MickaCoo. Now these two little cuties are living together as a mated couple in a big, beautiful foster aviary. They are very happy and want to find a really wonderful forever home.
