I am a handsome, friendly and charming wild caught male Amazon. Animal Control took me out of a storage locker where I was living on donuts and crackers when my human caretaker became homeless. In spite of those unfortunate events, I am a nice guy. I am blind, however, so people have to move slowly and deliberately with me, or I can become frightened and give a quick bite. I need eye drops once a day, which is no big deal. My foster mom has no problem with me stepping up, or flapping, or accepting showers, and I am learning to eat healthier foods. I enjoy feeling the sun on my beautiful feathers. I am social, I like company, and I will happily sit on your lap and lean against you making soft happy sounds. I am a little leery of hands petting me (it?s the blind thing I think) but am gradually coming around even to that. I like to chew up toys. I am a quiet guy, and when I do occasionally yell it is only for a minute and there is always a reason. Like any self respecting Amazon, I have my dignity, but I am also capable of lots of love and loyalty. I may not be able to see you with my eyes, but I can see you clearly with my heart.
