Eva and Sunspot are now roommates, as you can see in the picture (Eva is green). They are both very shy, quiet, pretty females. Eva enjoys coming out of their cage for an occasional fly-around but Sunspot likes to stay inside. Eva will step-up at night to go back to their cage. Update - Sadly, Wall-E has passed over the rainbow bridge. UPDATE FROM THEIR FOSTER MOM: "...they easily step up to go into their cage at bedtime, but not much before. Now they are bold and adventurous and comical. I've renamed them Thelma and Louise! They love to be out all day playing and flying around--seeing what mischief they can get into." Wall*E and Eva are victims of the economic downturn. These sweet, fairly young female budgies were about to be released into the wild (Eva couldn't even fly!) by owners who had to move suddenly when they lost their home. A kindly neighbor took them in, but his cat and toddler made it difficult to keep the birds safe, so he turned to Mickaboo. These are relatively tame little little budgies. Eva is green and Wall-E is white and blue. We don't know why they were named for the characters in a movie, except that Eva was white in the movie, and both characters were very cute. Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
