Update 12/16/2010 Felix is missing one leg and has crippled toes on the other foot. He is a sweet Special Needs guy who likes to sit on very low rope perches over a soft towel cushioned bottom tray. Felix already plays with his toys and is a great eater. He loves cakes and is getting used to fresh veggies with a little fruit. Fast moves scare him but he lets me pick him up and apply Aloe Gel to his amputated leg and the remaining foot which has some dry, thickened skin that needs softening. He is a very strong flyer even with trimmed flight feathers. With lots of love, good care and time we're optimistic Felix will lose his fear of humans and become a gentle, wonderful companion. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
