1/4/13 UPDATE: Busta (female on the left) and her mate Dawn (male on right) are doing great but they need a forever home! They've been in foster care for over 2 years! Please help Busta and Dawn go home! Hello! I was one of three baby king pigeons abandoned in Golden Gate Park in SF and rescued by a lovely family AND a pigeon rescuer who both happened to be in the park (it was Father's Day). I'm sure the person who "set us free" there didn't realize that they were putting us at the mercy of hawks, gulls, ravens, dogs, cats, racoons, mean people and starvation. It is a MIRACLE that we survived long enough to be helped. Me and my friends, Pip & Duke, got VERY lucky. Most domestic animals abandoned in the wild don't. FEB 2011 UPDATE: Dawn has matured into a big handsome young man pigeon and is now mated to Busta. They are available as a pair.
