Freddy was a strong but skinny baby king pigeon with a whole lot of feathers missing from his head who, after a week in the SFACC shelter, stopped eating. MickaCoo was contacted and a volunteered rejiggered her day to pick up Freddy and bring him to a foster home. The sight and sounds of other happy pigeons seemed to cure Freddy and he resumed eating and grew strong. It took almost two months for his feathers to all grow back in but they did and he looked like a different bird- big, sleek, glossy and fit. Yay for Freddy!
