Well, I thought I was having a terrible life. Someone put a metal band on my leg when I was a baby and when I grew up, the band was too tight. It hurt more and more and then I had trouble walking. Then I picked up some nasty face mites (boy are they ugly!). I was lost, hungry, and wandering when a nice lady found me outside. She drove me all the way to aMickaboo vet on a Sunday. They took off that nasty leg band and gave me medicine for the mites. Then a nice lady took care of me while my leg healed. (Keep reading...this story has a happy ending....) The face mites are all gone, my leg is a little funny looking, but I don't care. I live in a nice home with some really fun budgie playmates...and this home is forever. I'm already starting to forget the bad times. Whooppeee! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
