Hi Everybody! I'm Margalow, a 9 month old cockatiel that always wears pearls. I'm just learning to like this big exciting world. My old home was noisy and busy and people kept poking fingers at me through my cage bars -- it's rude to point! I like action and people, but I need a friend I can trust before I'm going to climb on just anyone's finger. If you want me to try new foods, you need to eat them with me; no one likes to eat alone, after all. I like cantaloupe, sugar snap peas, greens, and radishes. I'm ok with children and dogs, but only if they're polite and treat me with respect. If I trust the hand that's offered, I'll step up inside my cage. If I'm not in the mood, I'll throw a big hissy-fit, but don't worry, I don't bite. With a proper introduction, and a lot of space, I'll tolerate other cockatiels. But I'm really more of a people-oriented bird; I love getting head scratches and if you measure up to my high standards, I'll sit on your shoulder all day! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
