"His bark is worse than his bite" certainly is not said about me. You might think I'm whispering "come here my pretty" in my pictures but if you don't read the very obvious Amazon warning signals, you might soon be yelling "OW". I'm a 28 year old Blue Front Amazon naed Bebbi (pronounced "beppy") who seems to want payback for being taken from the jungle in my younger years and forced to spend my long life in the confines of a cage. Somehow I never really developed the social graces despite being in a loving home and now that I'm looking around for a new home it is pretty obvious I'm rough around the edges. Because I'm still a wild child at heart and not at all tame, I've been pretty much in cage lockdown for a long time. Mickaboo put me in a huge cage so that I could start burning off some of my excess energy and I'll be getting my constitutional as I trek up and down and all around this macaw size space. Like most amazons I have a hearty appetite. What I put in my beak (besides your finger - ha ha ha) isn't always really good for me but my foster mom is pushing the healthy lifestyle and I'm willing to go along. I'm a bird of few words but I speak in two languages! And we don't want to forget how beautiful I am. I probably will never be an affectionate bird but I do enjoy company. I like to have people around me as long as they keep a respectful distance from my cage. If you are a Very Experienced Amazon Caretaker we should meet. No parrot newbies should even think about inviting me home. Notice: Due to the sometimes difficult nature of amazons, Mickaboo prefers that amazons not be a households' first parrot.
