Updated 12/16/2010 Hi, I'm Buddy, a normal grey cockatiel. Like so many of the birds that Mickaboo takes in, I have not had an easy life. After spending my first 12 years in a garage, I was taken in by someone who saw how sad I was and who wanted to help. After I had spent a few years with her, she couldn't keep me anymore. I appreciate her taking me in and she took much better care of me than I had ever had before, but I need some specialized care. In my foster home I am eating well but still a bit thin. I am scared of hands but am getting used to being close to people. Mickaboo has called out one of their cockatiel subject matter experts to help my foster parents do the right things for me. In a few weeks, I will get to meet my foster parents' other cockatiel, which should help me to feel much more comfortable. I have a way to go but am on the right track. Check back soon to see how I am doing! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
