May I introduce myself? I'm Rooster, a cockatoo with a very sad story to share. When my owner was told that pets weren't allowed in the motel where they were ensconced, she rolled me right out, cage and all, to the dumpster and left me there. No food or water. Fortunately, a good samaritan, hearing my screams, went out and filled my water dish and found me some seed. After several days of this, she discovered and contacted Mickaboo. Long story short, I am now doing some heavy beak grinding in my cage, getting ready to go to sleep in a warm home with caring people. I have faith in humans again. Do you want to be my new family? I'm a super friendly parrot and will fit right in with just about anyone. Hope I hear from someone real soon! Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot.
