UPDATE 7/12/06: Ok, the secret is out. I'm a boy budgie and not Robin Hood's girlfriend after all. My name is Pipilo, which is Latin for "I twitter" (or maybe "I chirp" ), which I do! I'm a tiny, active, happy budgie. Cute, too! Gee whiz! Whose idea was it to take my picture at bedtime! I have had a very difficult month, and I need my sleep! Oh, ok, I can talk about me for a little while. Since I'm such a bright green, and showed up on Mickaboo's door with an English budgie, they named me Maid Marian. But I have them in a quandry -- my cere (the band above a budgie's beak that shows what gender s/he is) keeps changing color! So nobody knows for sure (except me, and I'm keeping that information to myself for now) whether I'm really Robin Hood's girlfriend or just one of his Merry Men in disguise! What they do know for sure is that I'm a very tame, very cute, very small budgie that likes to do stunts like standing on my head and hanging upside down and turning somersaults I'm still taking this yucky red medicine that leaves stains on my feathers around my beak, but I'll be healthy soon and looking for a new hide-out, er, home. So, get ready world -- here I come! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
